We are starting a 10 week sermon and all church Friday night Fellowship & Bible Study series on the Fruit of the Spirit!

We need volunteers to help create and decorate the church, volunteer in the kitchen, volunteer to help teach (children, youth & adult classes), praise team and more!

Join us for Lenten Soup Suppers every Wednesday evening of Lent at 6pm in the Social Hall starting on Ash Wednesday, February 22^nd.  All are welcome to come and enjoy a simple meal, fellowship and devotion time! Bring a soup and/or bread to share (and your recipe too)! 

Jesus sent his disciples out to “Preach the Gospel and heal the sick.”  They were to tell the good news of God’s love and demonstrate it as they helped people experience wholeness in their lives.  Would you like to discover ways in which to do what Jesus did and told his disciples to do?  Join us for the Wind of the Spirit Ministries Healing Academy, scheduled to be held here at SUMC on the dates of April 10-14.  Contact Peg or Jean in the WOSM office to register and/or get further information.

Our local Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts & Venture Crew will be joining on Sunday, March 4th during our 9:30am worship service. 

When Godly People do Ungodly Things, written by Beth Moore, will be the next Bible Study for the Tuesday Morning Women’s Bible Study. It will begin February 14. Each video session, every 2 weeks, will last 30 minutes instead of 60 as in previous studies. There will only be six video sessions, ending our study around the beginning of May. Beth writes with a passion fueled by the biblical warnings of Satan’s seductive activity. All women are welcome. We meet from 10am-noon each Tuesday (or Thursday) in Room 104. Study books cost $15. AWAKENING
21 Days of Prayer, Fasting and Personal Devotion:
Please join us for a time of focusing on God for a fresh awakening! All devotional materials to participate for adults, youth and kids are available online at www.awake21.org. If you haven’t started yet but would still like to purchase a book from us, please contact the Church office. The cost is $10.98 through us. 

Have you ever felt the desire to be in the healing ministry?  Here is an opportunity for those who knit or crochet.  If God touches your heart to be in a Ministry of Prayer and Healing, would you be willing to make prayer shawls to be used for those in need?

A Prayer Shawl that is prayed over and anointed will be given to those who are in need, whether that is illness, grief or trauma.  We  know that it is the Holy Spirit who gives comfort during those times and according to Malachi 4:2...."The Son of Righteousness will rise with healing in His wings." The Prayer Shawl is symbolic of that comfort and will wrap them in His healing wings. If you have any questions, please contact Audrey Eddings at 360-308-0200. 2nd Friday of every month at the Red Barn
On the 2^nd Friday of each month, the Senior Saints meet at the Red Barn at Country Meadows for FOOD, FUN & FELLOWSHIP at 9:00am. The food is delicious, includes a special breakfast, which varies each month, plus fruit, pastry and your drink and costs only $7.50. We play a fun game and the fellowship is such a blessing. GREAT COMMISSION MINISTRIES (GCM) AUCTION AND DINNER

The GCM Annual Silent and Live Auction will be held on Saturday, March 24th at 5:00 PM in the SUMC Great Hall.  In addition to wonderful items to bid on, we will be featuring a delicious Romanian meal to include salad, chicken, mouth-watering cabbage rolls, other side dishes, dessert and beverages.  

DONATIONS are needed for the auction.  Do you have a service, a special baked good, a talent, antiques, or other items that you would be willing to donate?  Contact Chris Wyatt or Rupert or Ani to make donations.

VOLUNTEERS are needed to prepare for this event. Help is needed in the kitchen, selling tickets, helping set-up and clean-up for the event, at the auction, and more.

Attention Ladies: Craft Lock-In!!! Friday, February 24th starting at 6pm through Saturday, February 25th till 8pm. Women, come join us for a craft lock-in! Bring your quilting, scrapbooking, card-making, knitting, crocheting and a friend! $25 per crafter. Breakfast, lunch and dinner provided.
